Alice and Liam exchanged their marriage vows in a very beautiful liturgy at St Peter’s Church, Glenfield on Saturday 1st July.
The happy couple are former students of the school who started going out whilst in the Sixth Form here and have been recently been studying at Bristol University where they have both read Music. Alice has just graduated and Liam is about to enter the third year.
There were many representatives of the school at the wedding including Mr & Mrs Simeone - Mr Simeone played the organ and Mrs Simeone sang in the choir, Mr & Mrs Lowe who organised the evening cèilidh and Mr Carney conducted the choir for the blessing “The Lord bless you and keep you”. Past pupils Tom Pickwell and Tabitha Bolam took the official photographs and played the flute respectively. Liam’s brother Jake was the Best Man and sister Emily was a Bridesmaid (also former students).
Many former students attended the wedding reception and played for the ceilidh including Katie Lowe and Joe Cross. Former school band "the Matchstick Men" also played. This line up - Joe Cross, Noah Goodliffe, Lewis Warner, Ieuan Cox and Christopher Bowron ended up reuniting for the wedding reception, as the last time they performed was at the Year 13 Leavers Prom three years ago!
We wish them every blessing for their married life.
