On Thursday 4th May, Year 10 students took part in mock interviews with representatives from companies and organisations such as Alltruck Plc, Santander, Leicester City Council, Grant Thornton and the Department for Work and Pensions.
As a school we are very grateful to all the local business people who gave up their time to offer these interviews to each student.
These interviews form part of our wider careers education programme, which ensure that all students move on from English Martyrs’ Catholic School as successful and confident young people fully equipped for the world of work. The opportunity to practice the vital skills needed in an interview with a current employer is a tremendous opportunity and we are extremely thankful to Leicestershire Cares for coordinating the event. Students came out of the experience having been challenged but very positive about the experience which they found enormously helpful.
All of the interviewers were full of praise for the students and were very impressed by the quality and maturity of the students' responses.
Their next interview will be for a place in Sixth Form or College!
