The Young Shakespeare Company came into school to perform ‘Romeo and Juliet’ to the whole of Year 8 on Monday 27th February. At the beginning the actors led a workshop, explaining how the play could be performed in different contexts. Students then volunteered to play roles in the Masked Ball Scene.
At the end of the performance, students were given the opportunity for a Question and Answer session. They asked lots of insightful questions about how to stage an engaging play, the characters motives for behaving in a certain way and what it is like to be an actor.
